#IdentityFestival

Who are you, and what makes you different from others around you? A festival developed by young women and girls from Osmani Trust and the Museume of London.

Full of lively, thought-provoking and creative activities, celebrate International Women’s Day by exploring the experiences of British-Bangladeshi women and children in east London at this family festival. Plus, explore your own identity in interactive workshops for all ages. The festival is part of Curating London, a four-year contemporary collecting project supported by Arts Council England seeking to capture London as it is right now.

Join us over the weekend and learn all about Bangladeshi culture by taking part in a Bengali street food workshop, making your own traditional hand fans or opting for some decorative henna. There will also be the chance to immerse yourself in other cultures. From sharing recipes in a community recipe book to printing your own unique t-shirt or bag and taking part in a community catwalk show, we will have a variety of activities designed to celebrate who we are and what makes us different from others around us.

Date: Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 March 2020
Time: 12pm – 4pm
Venue: Museum of London Docklands, 1 Warehouse, West India Quay, Hertsmere Rd, London E14 4AL
