Part Time Female Youth Worker
14 hours per week
Salary: £8- 10 per hour
1st December 2012 – March 2012 (Possible extension, subject to funding)
The Osmani Trust (formerly known as Elite Youth and Brick Lane Youth Development Association) is a youth and community organisation based in Tower Hamlets and Newham. The Trust offers a wide range of community, health and sporting initiatives tailored to the needs of the community. It aims to provide a holistic service, which helps people, particularly those living in disadvantaged urban communities, to re-engage with mainstream society and improve their quality of life.
Amaal Girls Group is one of eight projects of Osmani Trust working with young women aged 8-25. Amaal uses a range of extra-curricular and recreational activities to empower young women and to inspire them to realise their aspirations.
We are currently seeking to recruit a part time youth worker to join our team of dedicated workers. The ideal candidates would be self-motivated and have a passion for working with and improving the welfare of young people and the local community.
Successful applicants will be requested to engage in training sessions and courses in order to acquire necessary youth work skills that will enhance delivery in the youth club.
